Absolutely Fa-Boo-Lous Costume Ideas

I cannot believe it is almost time to start thinking about Halloween costumes! Picking out the perfect costume for your little ones can be stressful yet so exciting. When Georgia sees a costume she likes, she normally tells a full on story on why she likes it and the cool super power it has. Listening to her imagination go on and on just makes me want to get her all the super power filled costumes, but instead we go for ones that can be worn over and over for playtime. I’ve rounded up some costumes that will not only have your little looking like the cutest pumpkin in the patch on Halloween but it can be worn over and over for playtime.

If you struggle to find a costume thick enough to keep your little warm when going trick or treating, another option is using a cape over a matching sweatsuit. One of the things I love most about using capes as the costume is they will last for years before your child outgrows it.

If you are team “DIY the costume” then here are a few ideas:
-Goldfish
Cover an orange sweatshirt with dyed orange coffee filters for "scales" and attach eyes to the hoodie.

-Knight
Grey sweatsuit, a bike helmet, some cardboard for the sword and shield, and lots of tin foil.

-Rainbow + Pot of Gold
Rainbow colored felt stripes glued to the sleeves of a blue sweatsuit and spray paint an old pot gold.

-Salt + Pepper
Fill clear plastic garbage bags with packing popcorn and black pom poms, and label them "S" and "P"
