The Perfect Toddler Gift for Christmas or Birthday!
Also know as… Georgia’s dollhouse!
Let’s talk dollhouses! Georgia loves little figures and playing house so I know her third birthday would be a good time for a dollhouse. There are SO many cute options on the market. I was torn between this one and the blue, dovetail house. Ultimately I went with the blue, because I’m secretly giving her this dollhouse so I can play with it to… just kidding, sort of. If you’re not blue obsessed like me, the taller pink house option would be an amazing gift and they’re very similar in price.
We put this together a few weeks before Georgia’s birthday and man am I glad we did. It took a little bit of time and I wouldn’t have wanted to stay up all night before a birthday (or Christmas) to get this project finished. #youvebeenwarned
When I was growing up, my sweet Grandmother remodeled a dollhouse with/for me. It was such a fun project and I remember how we would search for furniture and wallpaper. I’m pretty sure this house is still in my parents attic so I’ll have to show Georgia one day. For the sake of time (and my sanity) I opted to buy a house that is absolutely adorable (already) and comes with the cutest accessory options. Cars, gallery wall decor, pets , tablesettings … all the things!
We surprised Georgia with her dollhouse on her third birthday and it was love at first sight. She loves to arrange the family, take them on trips in the car. She even invites her Peppa family over sometimes and things get a little wild in the dovetail house haha.
Doll houses open a whole new world for her imagination to run free and I love hearing her with her wooden family just living out those creative stories. It’s my favorites when I see her rearranging the whole house cause one of the wooden family members needed a bigger room for their art projects.
Did you have a dollhouse when you were little or did your kids? Let me know in a comment! Would love to hear some of your stories.
