Everything You Need for Your Disney Trip with a Toddler

We are heading down to Disney with our sweet two (almost three) year old Georgia and I have been having way too much fun prepping for our trip. And by fun I mean frantically ordering items online!! The trip is less than a week away and Georgia is starting to get SO excited. She keeps saying “we got to Mickey’s house now????”. Waiting and time is such a hard concept when you are two.

The goal is to make this as fun and stress free as you possibly can with a toddler. Low expectations but lots of fun! I’m rounding up everything we are packing and all our tips and tricks for when you’re in the park! Plus I’ll be updating this post after we get back with thoughts, lessons learned etc.

PRO TIP: Before you leave for your trip, start practicing measuring your little one for rides! This will make the process much easier so that they are prepared. You can also show them pictures and prepare the for what to expect to help get them excited and eliminate tantrums.

We’ve also been showing Georgia a few youtube videos about rides and what the park looks like.

Be sure to grab a Disney Decal for your water bottle! Peony and Confetti sent us the cutest decal and I can’t wait to surprise Georgia with it.

WHAT TO TAKE INSIDE THE PARK

It’s no secret that Disney world can get expensive and stressful fast if you aren’t prepared. To keep your trip as fun and affordable as possible, I’ve rounded up everything you need to take inside the park. If you haven’t already, I would grab a comfortable backpack. It’s going to be much easier than a tote bag and will be hands free. A win win!

TIPS + TRICKS

In Florida it can rain at a moments notice so in expensive ponchos for the family is a must. Bring refillable water bottles so you aren’t wasting money on water. If you have a baby or toddler a change of clothes is always a good idea. Even shoes! You never know! We will be packing our favorite clean sunscreen for both us and Georgia as well as cheap sunglasses in case we loose a pair.

The glow sticks will come in handy at night (if we make it, lol). And of course a fan because man it gets hot. Bring one for you and one to strap on the stroller. I also love these mesh pouches to keep all these things organized within your backpack. The snack cups will save you tons of money. Pack reusable straws so your little ones don’t have to use the paper ones they provide. Finally, make a trip to the dollar store or the dollar spot in Target before you leave and pick up a few cheap toys so when your little on ask for that fifty dollar stuffed animal you can produce something fun instead!

WHAT WE ARE PACKING FOR GEORGIA

As a small business owner myself, when I shopping for Georgia I always start with other small businesses before going to big box retailers. Although I do love my Target runs, I have so many talented friends that create the cutest unique pieces! If you have a Disney trip coming up here are three of my favorite boutiques to shop with!
