Gender Neutral Nursery

We are about to turn Georgia’s room into a big girl room and I realized I never shared her nursery with you! While these transitions can be tough and emotional, we can’t keep them in a crib forever… even though, to be honest I would absolutely love to let her stay put in the crib. She has fallen out once and crawled out a handful of times and neither of those methods of getting out of bed are my preference. But we will survive this transition just like all the transitions :)

When I was pregnant with Georgia we didn’t know if she was a she or a he… it was a surprise! And honestly it was one of the best surprises. Decorating wasn’t as hard as you would think. People would ask “What’s the nursery theme going to be” and I would say a pretty room with a crib. I really wanted a calm space, not a lot of clutter, light and basic with pops of color. The rug had a little bit of pink so that worked out since Georgia turned out to be a she (yay). Currently all the hair bow probably give away that it’s a little girls room. I always lean towards shades of blues when given the option. Love a pretty light gray wall too.

If you are looking for a simple and clean nursery room idea then this post is for you! We decided to keep everything really simple. We used a combination of white and gold with little touches of color, like the rug and books/toys. I would say this little room is a favorite of mine in our house. I love how simple and clean it is!

We’ve really kept the room basically the same since she was born. Added some books and baskets for toys, rearranged drawers, added 576 stuffer animals to her crib lol but other than that it’s still the calm, airy space I used to love to sit in while I was pregnant. Milly dog is a huge fan of this room too :)
